UX Researcher/Concepter

We’re looking for a sharp, creative UX Researcher & Concepter who’s all about user-centered design. You’ll dive into research, uncover insights, and turn them into smart, intuitive experiences. If you love shaping products that truly connect with people, join us at COBE.

What you'll do

  • You will be part of multiple project teams and work on exciting projects. Your role of researcher and concepter may vary, yet the goal is the same: creating a user-centered UX
  • You’ll assist in creating screeners for recruitment and developing guidelines, questionnaires, or other research materials, and partly prepare them independently for coordination with experienced UX researchers
  • You always ensure a high quality and feasibility of the concepts/wireframes, you created, due to your well-summarised findings and profound knowledge about various guidelines (e.g. Google’s Material Design Guidelines or Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines)
  • You actively participate in the data collection and / or initial concept phase to take the lead in conducting individual interviews or testing
  • You serve as a point of contact for research- and concept-related questions from the client and proactively seek support from experienced colleagues
  • You support experienced colleagues while they estimate offers, in order to get a feel for creating estimates
  • You assist in analyzing and synthesizing the insights gathered from the data collection phase, enhancing your skills in handling large amounts of data and preparing them in result frameworks and reports

What you bring

  • 1-2 years of work experience as a UX concepter and/or researcher in an agency or department within the field
  • You speak and write German fluently (C-level) and have very good English skills so you can present and justify your findings internally as well as to clients
  • You are a self-manager and like to take ownership of your tasks
  • You are proficient in using common tools such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office Word, as well as design tools like Figma and are not afraid to learn new tools
  • Sound knowledge about the profession including frameworks and guidelines (like User Centered Design, Design Thinking, Google’s Material Design Guidelines or Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines) and the process of designing digital products and know where to look for information that you’re missing

Nice to have

  • You can call yourself a Bachelor's or even Master's graduate of a professional and ambitious program such as Psychology, a design program with a focus on user-centered behavior, Human-Computer Interaction, or a study program with an ethnographic background, etc.
  • You are familiar with various types of user research (e.g., usability testing) and know when in the product cycle it is advisable to conduct them
  • You have experience with AI-powered tools for UX research and design and are eager to explore their potential further
  • You have previous experience in planning and facilitating creative and/or outcome-focused workshops

What we offer

  • 🌍 Hybrid Work: Whether it’s the office, your home, your favorite café, the beach or the mountains? – you decide where you’re most productive.
  • Your Schedule, Your Rules: As long as you hit your hours and deliver on deadlines, your day is yours to design.

Your Holacracy Circle

Our Mindset

The path to success

01

We are team players

We have each others’ back and offer each other help proactively. By giving our best to let our teamwork run smoothly, we do not only offer clients the best quality, but we also let our teammates have the best working experience.

02

We are self-managers

In order to achieve success, each individual has to work as a proactive problem solver. Let’s take full responsibility for accepting, estimating, solving, and communicating our tasks to the team.

03

We make an impact

We carry an entrepreneurial mindset to detect potential for improvement, make suggestions for improvement, and ultimately turn our suggestions into action. We put ideas into practice by being persistent and by overcoming barriers along the way.

04

We are authentic and optimistic

When things go wrong, we stay positive by turning the situation into a lesson for further improvement. Instead of complaining, we make suggestions, instead of hiding flaws behind a shiny facade, we admit mistakes, for the better.

05

We have a constant beta mindset

We embrace challenges, adapt creatively to new situations, and step out of our comfort zones for personal and professional growth. Let's prioritize self-reflection and constructive feedback to enhance our potential.

06

We communicate clearly

Let’s communicate our ideas, reasoning, opinions, and decisions in a precise and transparent way to avoid misunderstandings. We consider that everything is a hypothesis and that we could be wrong.
